"Where on earth is Marshall Island?"

After a period of waiting I was finally approved by the Southern Asia-Pacific Division to take up a teaching position in an island called Ebeye in the Marshall Islands. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed because I don't get to the place where I wanted to go. My first choice was Saipan and I have done so much area study on it that one morning when I woke up from my dream the first thing came to my mind was like 'Saipan, Saipan... I am going to Saipan"...

Anyway, I went the flight centre to get some quots for my trip. I told the travel angent that I wanted to go to the Marshall Islands. And she was a bit puzzled and asked me 'where on earth is Marshall Island?' 'huh...It's kind of in the middle of the pacific Ocean. You better google it.'

Yes, Marshall Island I have to zone in and zone out on the world map to get to know exactly where you are. If I zone out too much, are you lost in the pacific ocean, and if zone in too much, I lose you again because I can't locate you in relation to other countries...

So this is the little country that I will be going to. Hopefully the exciting things will follow. I will just have to wait and see.
